- 25% of people believe Jesus sinned during his lifetime. If Jesus sinned, how could he of died for our sins? According to the Bible Jesus had to live a sinless life in order to take on all of our sins. Just recently I was listening to a sermon by Dan Christiano, brother of Rich Christiano who made Time Changer and The Secrets of Johnathan Spery, he was making a point that Hollywood is so dominate ,even among Christians. He gave this example. If a small Christan film company called you up and said "Hey I just made movie with a great message would you be interested in promoting it?" We might say " well, how good of quality is it, how long is it........." and we would ask the normal questions, but if Steven Spielberg, or one of those big Hollywood directors called us up and and asked us to promote it, we would be like SURE!!!!!! Now,I think this is changing. More Christians need to be out there making more high quality films with a message for him. Oh yeah, you can go out and and make the next star wars but if it it doesn't have a good message to him then it does not matter if you make 10 million in the box office, it is not doing anything for him! There Are too many cheesy and message week "Christian" film out there. I recall someone saying to Rich Christiano " You're just preaching to the choir in Time Changer" His first response was " the choir isn't all saved. That's the view I think we need too have. Dan Christiano was giving another example in where he called a couple on stage and he said "Ok, sir. could you please kiss your wife. I want to be entertained. And while you're at it, could you harass her, because I want to be entertained. And could you remove some of her clothing, because I want to entertained." As you can imagine, the guy is sort of. Moving towards Dan like "I am about to sock you." Dan then said "By not doing that, you have proved to me you have a flip flop view of entertainment. On that movie you watched last night that was entertainment. If it's entertainment on Saturday night, it should be entertainment on Sunday morning." Now, not all Christan's are like that, just some. I watched a movie lately that was not bad at the surface, but when I started to dig and really think about what was being promoted in it. When I did that, I saw I for what it really was, a horrible worldly movie with a Innocent look. I am sad to say one of my good friends owed that movie. This bugged me so bad, It was embarrassing to say I've seen it. People, even Christians, as so Hollywoodhypnotized, Dan Christiano did this example. He took a show of hands from the audience and said, how many of you love the name of Jesus, well how many of you love it some much you are willing to turn away from every movie on earth that takes his name in vein?Hands don't go up as fast. If Jesus was sitting in your living room, well actually he is, do you think he would watch "The Dark Knight' or "Toy Story" or " Gladiator" or "Knowing"? The area of film and video can be a minefield if your not carefully. Movies like the on I tales about earlier are just wolf's in sheep's clothing. That's why you need to keep your eyes open while in this area if you don't,the devil can make you fall for almost anything. It only takes one lie, or sex scene to dishonor God, the creator of the universe. People want good quality entertainment. Notice it's the excellent God-honoring film that do well, like Fireproof, not the R and X rated cruddy films out there. There needs to be more Christan films out there that honor and glorify God. Not just because that's what the world wants, but that's because that is what God wants.
